Today's ministries must increasingly deal with the potential liability of both paid and volunteer staff members, either from problem situations to criminal conduct. In many states laws are being passed requiring complete background checks for any individual that works directly with children. Additionally, most insurance companies are now requiring background checks for certain staff positions to maintain liability insurance. Employment and Personal Reference Check Most problems with new hires could be avoided by a thorough reference check. iMinistrySM offers our specialized reference checking service that will review and document each reference the individual provides.
Education Check Statements as to educational background and achievement are verified for the individual.
General Comprehensive Background Report This is our most comprehensive and popular report. Run this search to gain as much information as possible about the individual (except criminal history) based on their available Public Records.
Nationwide Criminal Background Check Not sure where to go to find out if someone has a criminal past? This background check accesses records in 45 states and tells you if a person has a criminal record. This is a good overview check but is not as thorough as the State and County Criminal Report.
State Criminal Search This report provides a search of an individual’s criminal record by state. This is a good overview check but is not as thorough and complete State and County Criminal Report.
Criminal Record Report by County The most accurate criminal search: each county's courthouse is checked for a record. Choose this report if you know each county the person lived within or where the crime was, or may have been, committed. You should check each possible county to ensure complete coverage.
Criminal Record Report by State This report is the best way to check the entire state. However, not all counties report crime to the central state database, so this search is less accurate than the Criminal Record Report by County. Choose this report in conjunction with the County reports to double check that no possible crimes have been overlooked.

**All reports are not available in all states. Some states require Social Security Number to conduct searches and/or that a copy of the report be forwarded to the subject.
